How to deploy Netsweeper Root Certificate via Intune

In this quick guide I’ll show you how I quickly deployed Root Certificate Authority cert to Intune Managed Windows 10 devices. In this scenario I needed to quickly deploy staff devices, but a certificate is needed when on-site in order for our web filter Netsweeper to work correctly, this will be similar for any other school using Netsweeper to manage their filtering. Instead of installing the certificate manually, I decided to automate this process. I know there’s alot of information out there regarding certificates out there, but at the time…

How to create Device groups in Microsoft Intune

At the time of writing there doesn’t seem to be any clear way to create a device group within Microsoft Intune, you may wish to create groups to separate your devices for the purpose of applying policies, a bit like an OU in Active Directory. I’ve put together a little tutorial on how i’ve created device groups in order to apply a Powershell script only intended for Staff Laptops. Auto Login Onedrive for Business – The Work Around

I’m unsure if its just me, or other people are having the same issue of Onedrive for Business not ‘provisioning’ until around 3 minutes after first logon. I tried it with and without the system apps on W10-1809 and it didn’t seem to make much difference, onedrive would take around 3-4 minutes to install (per user) on first logon. Subsequent logons are fine, its just the very first logon that seems to take an age. There doesn’t seem to be any indication that Onedrive is actually doing anything to the…

How to mount & un-mount an image in DISM

To mount a .WIM file in DISM you can use the following command Mount-WindowsImage -ImagePath “c:\yourpath\Install.wim” -Index 2 -Path “c:\Mounted_image” Index number depends on your WIM but in most cases the standard is 2 I recently stumbled into an issue while removing apps from a windows 10 install.wim where i couldn’t run the script due to the image already being mounted. To get around this issue you need to unmount the image in DISM using the following commands. dism /Unmount-Wim /Mountdir:C:\examplepath /commit If you do not know the mount directory you…
